Tyre Issues

Here are some general answers to common tyre problems.

WHY ARE MY TYRES WEARING OUT SO QUICKLY?

Tread wear is influenced by many factors: driving habits and style, geographical conditions, vehicle type, tyre type, vehicle maintenance, tyre maintenance, and more.

For this reason, it is not possible to predict mileage.

We recommend having your tyres regularly inspected by a professional to determine if a mechanical or maintenance issue could be contributing to rapid or uneven wear.

THERE IS A BUBBLE OR HERNIA ON THE SIDEWALL OF MY TYRE – WHAT SHOULD I DO?

A bubble or bulge on the sidewall can result from damage caused by curbs, potholes, or other objects.

If this occurs, we recommend taking your vehicle to a professional immediately, as it could seriously compromise your safety.

WHY IS THE CENTRE OF MY TYRE WEARING FASTER THAN THE SIDES?

When the centre of the tread wears faster than the edges, possible causes include over-inflation for the load carried or a rim that is too narrow.

Please consult a professional for a thorough inspection.

WHY IS MY TYRE WEARING UNEVENLY?

If the outer shoulder of a tyre wears faster than the adjacent tread surface, causes may include misalignment of the front and/or rear wheels (such as incorrect toe or camber), worn or loose suspension components, frequent tight cornering, or sporty driving.

Please consult a professional for a thorough inspection.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY VEHICLE PULLS TO ONE SIDE?

Incorrect wheel alignment can affect handling. Camber, caster, and toe settings should be checked by a professional.

If the tyres are wearing evenly, alignment is correct, and the vehicle still pulls, the front tyres can be swapped (as long as they are not directional tyres) to see if the pull changes direction.

This procedure should be carried out by a professional.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE TYRE CORDS ARE VISIBLE?

If the cords are exposed, the tyre must be replaced.
