AVOID!! Would give 0 stars if I could. We've taken our cars here for years and they've been brilliant until now. Took our car for an MOT and we asked about one of the failures as we couldn't see any oil leak. The mechanic who did the MOT was instantly irritated by us telling us there is a bad oil leak. We said we couldn't see anything and he insisted that there is. I asked if he could show us and he went to out car, climbed in, slammed the door and put it on the ramp to show us. I worry if they are slamming doors in front of us how they treat out vehicles when we aren't around. He showed us the issue which honestly I couldn't see an oil leak but fine we will get it changed. He told us that they don't go looking for issues which I thought was strange because we never accused them of that in the slightest. The mechanic then started to lower the ramp while I was still under it which unsettled me a bit. Fixed the issues and took it for the retest and it failed on the oil leaks again despite the parts being changed and clearly no oil leaks. They are clearly fishing for easy repair work

Mainly because it was fast and efficient. Friendly and helpful staff. Arrived at 8.30 and the garage opened exactly on time. Also the man asked if I needed tracking (I had hit a kerb) which I had forgotten. Also appreciated the receipt with the depth of all the other tyres’ tread depth. Also easy to book a slot online and the online options of tyres available.

Dealt with Nicole today & she was honestly fantastic and overall lovely to speak too. Also nice when someone working on your pride and joy, do they have a keen interest in cars as well. Pleasure to deal with and Nicole’s service alone is a reason to come back. Walked me through the issues with my wheels and sorted the balance out which greatly improved my varying buckled wheels. Price was great too! Thank you so much Nicole!

Review for ATS Cwmbran (4 Wheel Alignment / Tracking) I took my car to ATS in Cwmbran for 4-wheel alignment because I noticed my tyres were wearing quicker than usual. They quoted me £80, but also told me I needed to replace both rear bush arms first. They said it was “too difficult” for them to do officially as the bolts were hard to remove, so I had to get the work done elsewhere at a cost of over £317. After replacing both rear bush arms, I had returned to ATS Cwmbran and paid £80 in cash for the alignment. However, as soon as I collected the car, I noticed it still didn’t feel right – the steering was not straight. Within a couple of weeks, the tyres were again wearing unevenly, so clearly the alignment had not been done properly. When I went back to complain, instead of rechecking the alignment, the staff told me to “change the tyres and see how it goes.” I followed their advice and fitted new tyres, but only weeks later the same issue returned – uneven wear and poor alignment. On returning again, they first said they couldn’t find any record of the job in their system and asked for a receipt. Then, despite eventually admitting the booking might have been entered under the wrong registration, they told me I would have to pay again because I had “done a lot of miles.” I explained that I had raised the problem immediately after the original job and had been told to change tyres, not that the alignment would be redone. Their response did not change – I would need to pay again. After going back and forth four times, I feel I have wasted both time and money – including the unnecessary cost of replacing rear bush arms on their advice. In my opinion, the alignment was not carried out correctly the first time, and I feel misled and treated unfairly. I wasted £80 on the tracking, plus hundreds more on extra work and tyres. ⚠️ My advice to others: Be very careful before using ATS Cwmbran for wheel alignment. Based on my experience, I do not believe the job was done properly, nor were my concerns handled fairly. I would strongly recommend avoiding them for tracking and alignment.
