How BFGoodrich in the UK & Ireland uses cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer by websites. As a result of changes to the EU Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive, it is now unlawful to use cookies to collect user data without first obtaining consent. There has been a lot of discussion about cookies and internet user privacy in the media and the changes to this directive are intended to make it easier for users to be aware of and control what information websites such as ours, store about you.

Why we use cookies

BFGoodrich uses cookies for a number of reasons. There are some parts of our site such as the Maps and Guides Travel shop where cookies are essential and you wouldn't be able to buy our products without them.

We are always looking for ways to improve our website and to make it easier for you to learn about our products. In order to do this it is important for us to understand how you use our site.

Cookies also help us to provide you with a better, richer experience, for example, something you find interesting, you may wish to 'Like' it on Facebook, or Tweet it, cookies facilitate this. You may wish to find where to buy our products from, cookies help this by temporarily storing information and by allowing you to see offers from for example, our dealers.

Rather than a very long list, we have categorised the cookies we use by their type of usage.

We categorise them as Essential, Statistical, Functional and Tracking

How we notify you and gain your consent

When you enter each BFGoodrich site for the first time, a banner will appear at the top of your screen notifying you that BFGoodrich use the cookies outlined in this Policy within their websites. The banner will ask if you want more information and provide a link to get to this page. Should you choose to ignore the notification and continue to use the website, we will place a cookie on your computer to record that choice and your further navigation of the site will be taken as consent to the use of the cookies used on the particular site. The notification banner will not appear on your screen on future visits to the site but the option to remove cookies is open to users at any time, through a user's browser settings.

Should you choose to remove any or all of the cookies, please note that use of the website may be affected by the removal of Cookies and if the computer that you disable cookies on is a shared facility, this removal will affect all users using the computer.

The Help section of your internet browser should be able to assist you with managing your Cookie settings.

Please note.

This site: cookies.BFGoodrich.co.uk is a summary and lists ALL cookies used across ALL our UK websites. No single site will use all the cookies listed. All our UK sites will link to this page.

We also list cookies set by 3rd party service providers whose services we consume within our sites. An example of this would be ViaBFGoodrich who provide a number of services to us. Their site contains advertising and this has tracking cookies within.
